I wondered what would happen if I stopped nagging for a week.
Not much.
So - do we even want to carry on with this?
If we do, do we want to carry on in the same free form vein?
Or do we want to work out the plot line first before writing anything else?
And shall we slow it down a bit? A chapter a week seems reasonable to me.

I think too much planning would detract from the collaboration: let's face it, a carefully structured and designed work probably wasn't what we expected when we got into this. Perhaps a little more structure would be nice, but coming to write a planned chapter only to find that the one that's just gone up invalidates everything you had in mind is part of the appeal, surely?
I'd be in favour of gating the speed, perhaps a chapter each week with a couple of days to decide who posts next. At the moment I barely feel like I'm keeping up with the reading: my contribution to the writing consists of floating around wondering whether I should be planning the next chapter.
More thoughts later, maybe. Stupidly busy this weekend :-(
Definitely keep going. I was wondering why it had gone quiet all week. I wouldn't mind having a pop at a chapter at some point but I've kept quiet till I can put a little time aside.
I'm thinking it may of slowed because no one knows whose next and its got to quite a critical point of the plot so people may be a little nervy about going next.
I was also wondering about having a separate post with a bullet point guide to whats happened so far for new readers (updated each chapter). If you limited it to one bullet per chapter it could be quite interesting and quick to do. Also it might be wise to add a characters bit like in the sidebar but more detailed so we don't forget whose linked to / met who. I thought all this and then thought, yeh but that just means more time and effort... Maybe I could give it a pop as I would need to re read the whole thing again if I was to write a chapter anyway. Thoughts?
We have visited your blog and we it find of pleasant mas, thanks and regards from Reus - Catalonia - Spain
I don't mind doing a plot summary to date, although it might not be for a day or two.
Then it would be great if Valerie went again.
Who wants to go after Valerie? How about someone who hasn't written yet?
James, do you need an author invitation?
Stick me in after Valerie then... I have to dip my toe in at some point. I have accepted an author invite from one I was sent at the start.
Ok, I'll try to go next again :) But it might take me a few more days (less than a week). My new job starts Monday and I don't know what it is yet.. so I expect a little personal mental mania.
Good luck with the new job Valerie!
Is it worth attempting to get ourselves mentioned on here?
why is there a picture of me in a swimsuit on that site. How did they know?
